Support

We have a saying at First Investors: “You're in Business For Yourself — Not By Yourself.” We make every effort to make sure you succeed, because when you do, so do we.

In addition to our proprietary training programs and materials, we provide ongoing support to aid you in your efforts to help your clients achieve their financial goals. The bulk of these are based in our home offices in Edison, New Jersey, and on Wall Street.

University of First Investors (UFI)

In addition to its role in our training efforts, UFI supports our field force in other ways as well. For example, to assist you in your sales efforts, UFI has developed a series of seminars on a wide variety of topics.

Technology

All of our offices are linked to our home office by our Branch Office Support System (“BOSS” for short). Stored on the BOSS are house accounts — sales leads contained in our comprehensive database. The BOSS also helps you manage your client contacts, helps you schedule appointments, and generate smooth, professional prospecting and client service letters.

Administrative Data Management

Our transfer agent operates a 24-hour call center to address concerns and answer questions from clients and representatives. It also handles transaction processing and maintains all shareholder records.

Marketing

Our marketing department creates a wide variety of attractive brochures that describe all the mutual fund, life insurance, and annuity products you will be selling. In addition, the marketing staff distributes information to keep you abreast of market events and the performance of our products; bulletins that provide tips and motivational success stories to give you new ideas on how to make your business grow; a biannual newsletter for your clients; and many other materials.

Executive Sales

The executive sales department is a primary point of contact for all representatives and associates who have questions about our products or a proposed sales strategy. The department also maintains records of representative performance and compensation.
